The Coach House Club PODCAST Episode #22. What's your state of mind?
What is your current state of mind? Is it where you want it to be? The truth is, you can change it to whatever you want your state of mind to be. You are magical and magnificent, it takes practice to change your vibe - you simply need to make a decision and choice of what it is you want to think and feel.
You are your thoughts. What you think you feel, what you feel you become. It’s really that simple.
If you are in a state of depression, anxiety or stress you can easily adopt old patterns and behaviours as you have activated your flight, fight, freeze in your body which goes into survival mode, first its important to know that its unlikely for you to go into a state of euphoria within a few moments. Not impossible, just unlikely unless you have been practicing methods and techniques for some time.
What we are looking for is a shift towards positivity - to do that you need to focus on physiology, your physical body. Sit up, stand up straight, tilt your chin up towards the sky, shift your shoulders back and down, place hands on your hips. Now do you feel something different? Yes.
So lets consider our dialogue, the inner roommate that never leaves our side. That voice that is never ending. Dial down that voice by self directed talk. What do you want to feel? However you want to feel (positive) then we have to start to use language within us that is towards that feeling of the future (even if you don’t feel like it!). ‘I feel good, I feel strong, I like feeling strong, I appreciate that I can shift into a different mindset simply by doing this and a few small things’. These are all positive affirmations of verbiage that helps us shift our thoughts which become feelings and what we think and feel is what we become.
Vision/mood boards are a great way to really visualise and get your future state into your consciousness - you are activating your desires into physical presence with simply your thoughts and feelings.
Changing your state is easy as changing your clothes, you only need to know what you want to feel like and have intent on the thoughts you need to have in that future state.
Breathwork and meditation practice over time builds resilience and ease of changing and managing your state of mind. There are various techniques that decrease stress, anxiety etc and also techniques that will ramp up your energy. Over a period of time, you can train your brain with what essentially are brain hacks which helps gain confidence that no matter what life throws at you, you can handle it with grace and ease.
You are truly magnificent and pure magic. Knowing what you are capable of is only just the beginning, when you master and manage your state, there are unlimited possibilities to what you can achieve.
